Boston Tea Party occurred on December 16, 1773, a protest at Griffin's Wharf in Boston, Massachusetts on the taxation of tea. 342 chests of tea were dumped in the harbor by angry and frustrated American colonists opposed of the high taxes on tea imposed by Britain.
